About me

Beginnings and Personal Journey

Lidia was born in June of 1977 in Madrid. She is a enthusiastic, sensitive, hardworking, and creative woman. She currently resides in Frigiliana (Málaga), though she has lived and worked for several years in both Italy and the United States.

After her international journey, she returned to her hometown. While continuing her professional career in event planning and marketing, she deeply began to explore personal growth through various paths such as theater, performance, dance, and creative voice work. She became familiar with different personal development tools, also studying through residential courses, trainings, and readings on bodywork, codependency in relationships, inner child wounds, and meditation.

For 5 years of her life, she had the opportunity to retreat to a village in Asturias where she rehabilitated a century-old rural house, an experience that undoubtedly represents a significant learning challenge on many levels. As a result of this introspection and lived experiences, she returned to Madrid and resumed her professional activities in event planning in the city. However, she realized that her work in the commercial world no longer held vital meaning for her.

Professional Change and Training in Massages and Therapies

In January 2017, she decided to make a career change in alignment with her true self and core values. She enrolled in a somatic massage training for Californian Massage in Madrid. Seeing the positive results from this discovery, she chose to delve deeper into her massage training and traveled to the Oasis School in Buenos Aires where she obtained the diplomas in Oasis® Californian Massage I and II, Harmonic Rocking, and Chair Massage. Lidia opened her own practice in Madrid and subsequently in Asturias.

With the intention of gaining a deeper understanding of anatomy and physiology, she enrolled in October 2018 for a training in Quiromassage and functional bandaging at the Diaphragma Massage School in Madrid, earning her title as a Quiromassage Technician. Combining her organizational skills with her knowledge in massages and therapies and her rural house, she offers individual and group retreats, massages workshops, and the creation of the traveling cultural project SIMBIÓTICA. Since 2021, she lives and works in Frigiliana (Málaga), from where she offers her massages forindiviuals, massage for couples, therapies and other therapeutic experiences.

Transpersonal Development and Present Day

From a broader perspective, remaining aligned with her passions about human understanding, Lidia begins her training in Transpersonal Therapy at the Kayzen School of Transpersonal Development. She earns her title as a Specialist in Transpersonal Development, while also assisting her teacher Roger Jackson in the Harmonic Rocking training in Madrid. This allows her to support individuals in their life processes both with transpersonal psychological guidance and with somatic therapy through Californian Massage.

Currently, content with her personal and professional journey, she divides her time between her professional massage activity, her studies in Bioneuroemotion and her life partners.

La Fascia

Fascia is the fibrous semi-flexible membrane of connective tissue that unites the distinct components of the human body. Within the fascia, small bags are formed that contain the organs of the human body. Mio means muscle. The Miofascia covers, serves as a support, and separates the muscles of the body. Each muscle fibre is wrapped within Mio-fascia, and furthermore, each muscle is also wrapped in Miofascia. The Miofascial tissue has a dynamic behaviour: under tension it augments its density and relative rigidity, giving the muscle greater structural support. As a result of the augmentation of the density generated by the increase of tension, the body becomes more rigid and less flexible, which in turn produces restriction of movement. Generally, these are the result of misalignments and mechanical-postural or functional imbalances, many of which have emotional roots. Deep Miofascial massage addresses the treatment of chronic pain, and also the treatment of lesser pain caused by this lack of flexibility and movement.
